Timeblocks Deadlines and Information

As the 2010 TERRES RISING season draws near, the following are some bits of important informaton:

October Timeblocks will be sent out to players by March 5. The submission deadline has long passed, and we're sorry, if you did not send in your timeblocks for October, you will not be able to do so.

However, all hope is not lost! Winter Timeblocks are hereby offered for a cost of $10.00 per month, up to SIX months of additional timeblocks. Email directors@terresrising.com for payment options. We will not process Winter Timeblocks unless your payment is received. If you buy all six months of timeblocks, you may also exchange 100 karma for 1 SP. Winter Timeblocks are due by April 9. Please submit timeblocks here, or if you have any questions, email characters@terresrising.com.

Camp Howe Work Day

Camp Howe will be having a work day on April 17th. They tend to begin early-ish in the morning and go until late afternoon, I believe. Any player who attends and works hard for the whole day will receive 1 SP and 200 Karma.

Camp Howe has been a great partner to us since Jay and I took over Terres Rising and any help we can give them is a great way to show our appreciation and dedication to their success. Their camp is our camp, so all of your work comes back to help us in the end!

Travel times

Deadline for Timeblocks and Character Updates

All timeblocks must be submitted by May 15, 2009 via the online timeblocks form

All character updates must be submitted by May 22, 2009.

If you do not submit an update by May 22, 2009, you must play with your character sheet "as is." However, you still may be able to learn skills ingame! All update submissions must go to characters@terresrising.com ONLY.

Camp Howe Work Days

Work Days scheduled. The first one is tentative, depending upon weather, but the other two should be firm. For our sake, we would like to see as many people attend the first two to make sure the site is up and ready for our first event. I am checking to see how long each day would be expected to last and whether it would be ok for people to stay overnight to split up travel time.
The dates are:

• Saturday, April 18th
• Saturday, April 25th
• Saturday, May 16th

2009 Updates

We have listened to all of the issues that have come up with pricing and we're well aware of the current financial situation, so we've made some changes. We are no longer requiring a membership fee. Price per event is $65. If you pay at least two weeks before an event, you receive a discount of $5 off. If you are a first time player, you get $10 off. So, a first time player who pays 2 weeks or more in advance of an event, will only pay $50.

Payment can be made by check or cash (contact the Directors for the specifics). Payments can also be made though PayPal payment to "directors@terresrising.com", but we need to charge a $2.50 surcharge per event per person to cover the fee PayPal charges.

Everyone who pre-registers via online form or email to directors@terresrising.com at least two weeks in advance will receive 100 Karma once they pay for the event. Prepaying counts as pre-registering. Facebook event registration, telling staff members in person and emailing any address aside from directors@terresrising.com do NOT count as pre-registering.

All new players should contact characters@terresrising.com with your character stats and concept AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We can't plan encounters for your character if we don't know you'll be there. If you need help coming up with a character concept, feel free to email the Directors and we can work on the basics with you.

Returning players, please contact characters@terresrising.com to update your character as soon as possible. Characters are only updated at an event at the discretion of the Directors.

New Rulebook!

The latest version of the rulebook is now online and available for download. There have been several changes to improve the flow of the game and ease of understanding the rules. To download the rulebook or any of the appendices, please go to the Download page, or read the rules online in the new Rules section of the website.

Terres Rising 2009 Event Schedule

We've sorted everything out with the camp and our dates for 2009 are below:

• May 1-3
• May 29-31
• September 11-13
• October 2-4

Note: The first event is contingent upon the camp being ready for business by that weekend. They've been hit by a couple of ice storms and have sustained quite a bit of damage with power lines and fallen trees. I will let you all know when the site has work days that you can go to and help make sure that we're ready to go for the first event. We will give Karma and/or SP for those who go help out.

Timeblocks for October

Anyone who paid for the October event may submit timeblocks for October, no later than November 1, 2008.

If you did not pay for the October event, but wish to do so, contact directors@terresrising.com.

Cost of the event was $65.00, and you will then receive the 1 skill point blanket and one month of timeblocks.
